My sister, in Oregon, raced to the store and then the post office to send me two bags of the variety cookie bags. I will eat very slowly.

Truly a sad, sad turn of events. I haven't slept soundly for 2 nights now!

This must mean the demise of the Taffy cookie as well. I'm very, very sad right now.

I know, sad huh. My grandma always had Mothers Cookies on hand in her cookie jar. The whole plant just shut down. Darn

OH NO! Saddest day of my life :(

These cookies remind me of my childhood... they were always a special treat my mom would give us. As soon as they were in the cookie jar -- about 10 minutes later they were gone!

That's one of the most depressing things ever. Luckily we have discovered another great treat with the candy corn and peanuts so maybe there is reason enough to stay alive. Today at least! :D jk. I will be at the store buying those tonight. As much as are on the shelf.

WHAAAAAATTTTT!?!? Noooo!

I'm off to the store Monday...I'd go tonight if I wasn't so tired...I guess that's a sign that life won't end with out them....but this is just wrong. I hope there are still some left for me.

I see circus animals in my food storage future. And those macaroons, too! A tragedy.

What is this world coming to? I'm heading out for my two year supply right now in hopes that somebody will pick up the recipe and continue on in that time:)

you're kidding, right? Those are the best and I can't imagine a world without them. Let's blame it on the recession:)

Seriously? We just ate a bag at my 4-year-old's bday party last week. I didn't know they would be our last.

Boo. No good.

You just made my hubby cry. He's sooo heartbroken. I personally had a love/hate relationship with these super sweet cookies. How can something be sickeningly sugary to the point of gross and yet soooo addictive?

WHAT?!! How have I missed this piece of news? I'm so sad! Although I haven't indulged in any for years + years, they bring back so many memories for me. Looks like I need to buy some for old times sake (assuming I can find any).
