just my luck....
getting out of the shower, the glass door shattered all over my body.
the biggest casualty was my right big toe.
turns out, the glass severed my tendon so i'm having
emergency surgery today. (thanks dr kimball!)
borderline devastated: no skiing (this season). no dancing (for 3 months).
no louboutins (for a while).
.poor me.

oh my gosh! I hope your surgery goes ok!
oh no!!! hopefully you recover quickly!
Sad :( Feel better and watch some Real Housewives of OC!!! Not nearly as good as ATL, but the Gretchen storyline is kinda interesting...
Wow - that's awful luck! :) I'm so sorry - hope you recover quickly.
It was fun seeing you for a quick bit last Friday.
Oh my GOSH!! I am so sorry. The saddest part is no fancy shoes.
That is just crazy! Best of luck with surgery, and recovery!
Poor you, indeed! Yikes! What a freak accident! I'm glad you escaped with as few injuries as you did! Here's to a speedy recovery!
This is so bizarre - I had a friend experience this same thing! What in the world causes the shower door to spontaneously shatter?
Hope your recovery is lively and quick.
Good heavens.....is it not you month, or what?! Maybe you were safer to stay in SF for a while longer.
I hope all goes well, and maybe you should stick to baths for a while....with your toe sticking up out of the water, of course! :)
No way!! I'm so sorry! Was the door cracked? I am now very afraid of my shower door!
I guess one little blessing is that this didn't happen just before the final show of Grease. That would have been especially devastating.
Again, I feel so badly for you. Take care...
oh my goodness girl! are you OK? no dancing??? no louboutins??? whaaaat? well if you need some gf time while sitting on the couch do call. i have stories and i miss you.
xxoo
I'm so sorry! I hope everything goes well!
Oh no, you poor lady! I hope surgery goes well and you recover quickly to dance and wear your shoes!
i vote we get rid of the shower door altogether.. first me, now you... and the injury is actually serious this time. boo... i think we can manage to find things to keep you occupied besides skiing. i'll think of something.
p.s. make sure you take Dr. kimball a diet coke and some peanut butter m&m's... oh wait, just kidding. He doesn't like those anymore. flash him that smile of yours and maybe he won't scare you half to death.
No way!!! Natalie, you are scaring me. I will say some prayers for your surgery and quick recovery. The only good thing is that you are with the family (trying to think of the positives...) Please heal and get rid of the killer shower door!! <3
Oh no!!! I hope you feel better soon :)
Oh no!! No dancing, skiing or shoes. . . eek! Gonna be a rough winter, but I'm sure you can make some lemonade. Wish I could help!
holy COW! that is nuts! I hope the surgery goes well and you're back to dancing and skiing soon.
Are you kidding me???? Nat, I hope you heal quick! You are so casual about it in this post, but I'm sure that was traumatizing to have your foot sliced open while standing there naked and wet! Yikes, you are a trooper! Get well soon, love!
If he is the same Dr. Kimball who did the surgery on my son's knee, he is an awesome surgeon, bedside manner, not so much.... PS. I enjoy following your blog and wish you a speedy recovery!
What a bummer!!
ok, that is so sad. you can send the louboutins to me if you think they will be sad without your feet in them for a bit. ;)
good luck with the surgery!
OH MY!!! I hope you have a speedy recovery~ for someone like you, that's a BAD injury!
Please get better soon!
Love,
Your Stalker.
Get feeling better soon!
OMG!!! That scene looks awful! I hope the surgery went well. Can you at least do yoga? Hang in there.
No way!! Wow I pray your surgery goes well!
OUCH!!
So sorry about your toe. That crime scene looks downright scary.
Dr. Kimball's a great surgeon...I hope it went well!
I have had many a tragedy in the shower, but nothing compares to this!!
I thought I was looking at a crime scene from CSI or something.
CRAZY!!!!
I am so sorry.
And scared.
And hoping that you can sue some glass shower door company.
Wow...so glad to have that old fashioned shower curtain.
I almost cut my big toe off when I was 5 or so. Pitched a horseshoe stake into my foot through my shoe.
Should have listened to my dad who told me to wait until after he pitched the tent.
I am sure that you will be glad to know that I have never had any real problems with my toe.
But, I still can't dance. Only because I lack the coordination :)
