red roses
i certainly won't turn them away..... but they seem somewhat trite to me....
i always say if you go rose, go short, uniquely colored, and clustered...
giant, long-stemmed, baby's breathed, over-priced, monsters scare me.
but i prefer
peonies
and orchids

Peonies! They're one of my favorites but I've never had some, ever. I should send a blog hint myself.
I agree with you 100%. I worked at a florist just out of high school, and whenever guys would come to get flowers for a date, etc. and try to get red roses, I would always try to persuade them to be more interesting.
Oooo! I LOVE peonies! We have pink and white ones in our garden and I look forward to their blooms every year.
