it is such a treat to have brilliant shakespeare in the beauty of our central park.
hands down, my FAVORITE nyc summer pastime.
i was supposed to attend the opening night, but i'll be back in utah-tah.... soooo...
i waited with the saigon posse @ the crack of dawn (ok, 8:30 am)
for my twelfth night tickets.
we actually had a blast and the time flew!
stellie joo-jie graced us with her presence.
ugh. my afro got bigger and BIGGER as the humid morning wore on..
.... which was very flattering on my sans-makeup'ed face.
but we DID meet a lovely new friend, zach.
safely in our seats and blessed with PERFECT weather.
the show was delightful.
loved my friend, stark, as sebastian. he was charming, nuanced, funny and had the most dashing entrance i've seen in many a moon!
audra was darling and
hathaway held her own!

Jealous of your Shakespeare in the Park outing. I read the review in the NYT a few days ago and wished I could see it. Twelfth Night is one of my faves and it sounds like a great showing.
My kids are "almost" old enough to take to Cedar City for the Shakespearean Festival down there. Maybe I'll have to pop for a sitter and do a weekend getaway anyway to get my Bard fix.
