never.
EVER.ask a girl to go on your first date to the temple.
and DEFINITELY don't ask to do sealings.
ever.
it's weird & intense on so many levels.
and if i need to explain that to you, we're not a match.
*for those of you who aren't LDS,
the temple is a special and sacred place and
not somewhere i'd go with someone
i'm dating until we're near engagement... it's just bizarre.

Amen! The first man I went to the temple with was the man I ended up marrying! I can't believe someone would ask to do sealings either?! That would make me incredibly uncomfortable!
Please tell me someone DIDN'T ask you on a first date here?
AMEN lady. Another variation: don't ask a girl out while in the celestial room on ward temple night. (My cousin did that. The girl ended up marrying him...but worst idea ever!)
Hallelujah!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!
That is so weird! And it'd be so awkward.
amen.
Are you KIDDING me?! Who does that!?!??! wierdieeeeee
Never, no, Never!
Oy, what's next? He asks you to pray about the names of your future children?
Bless his heart. He'll need it.
Add this to the "how dating in Utah is different from dating in NYC files." :)
I concur! No better way to creep a girl out!
Add this to the list - never tell her that you have prayed about it and had confirmation that you are supposed to be married. Especially if this is someone you have yet to go on a date with!
I had that happen to me when I was single...so creepy!
So weird and creepy...
Funny you should mention this. My husband and I are temple workers and we TOTALLY saw a couple on a date. To say she looked "awkward" is an understatement. He sure was enjoying himself, though.
Just think of it this way, he saved you the trouble of going on a second date.
ya... that be a BIG no no. and no prayer circle either. ya, i had a guy do that and then that was that. no more dates after that. guess he got his answer. boo! do lds men REALLY not have any sanctity for the value of the temple and what it means to us women? us SINGLE women?
What the heck?!?! How strange!
Weird, weird, WEIRD!!! Oh the life inside the Mormon bubble! Can't say I miss that too much! Ugh. I feel for ya, though!!
I 100% agree with you. But then I was thinking about it and I totally know some women (precious few) who would be all about that, so I guess there really is a match for everyone ;) It just wouldn't have been me!
Totally went on a first date like that...awful. We walked around and he told me the reasons he'd be a good husband. "I mean, I already have a family car. I could have bought a truck!"
Creeeeeeepster.
